Culinary workshops and a glam pool party are among the highlights.

From a drag revue to the launch of a book about Bukit Brown, here’s how you can spend the weekend.

Fri, Apr 8

CONCERT
Catch the last weekend of the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society Festival of Indian Classical Music and Dance 2016. Shows include A Coming Together – A Carnatic and Hindustani Violin Jugalbandhi by Lalgudi GJR Krishnan & Dr Sriram Parasuram.

Adapted from the Ramayana, Hanuman – The Superhero Monkey is fun for the whole family. This multi-sensory production is presented by The Little Company of the Singapore Repertory Theatre. On until Apr 30.

Sat, Apr 9

WORKSHOP
Craft to Taste at Marina Bay Sands concludes with four workshops on offer. There's The Perfect Plateau by db Bistro & Oyster bar executive chef Jonathan Kinsella, The Combination of Thai Flavours by Long Chim head chef Yingyod "Ommo" Raktham, From Garden to Glass at Flight bar & Lounge by property mixologist Lucas Swallows and Classic and Modern Cocktails by Adrift head bartender Anandha Ruben.

DRAG
Singapore’s one and only drag revue is sadly no longer at the cavernous and trashy-fun TAB. But fear not, Riot! is moving to new digs at Clarke Quay. The first show at their new home will feature Becca D’Bus herself, along with Mona Kee Kee and Noristar, and new additions Gina Gemini and Papa Cherry.

LITERARY
Witness the launch of the new book WWII @ Bukit Brown and hear from the tome’s co-editors Catherine Lim and Claire Leow. Historian and archaeologist Jon Cooper will also be on hand to deliver a presentation.

The 10th edition of Metaphors Be With You features spoken personal essays with the theme “Wanderlust”.

Sun, Apr 10

PARTIES
Coinciding with the Singapore Yacht Show, Pool Intentions is a glam pool party by the folks behind Alibi (Catalunya’s fancy new club night) and W Singapore, with eight DJs spinning over two days. It’s free to get in, but you can score a VIP booking with minimum spends ranging from $600-2,000.

Skip the Sunday blues and head over to Kult Kafe for a night of outdoor dancing and beers with big-deal electro musicians from France: Saycet, who has worked with the likes of Mogwai and Steve Reich, and Anoraak, known for his synthwave treatment of the 80s.

THEATER
Don’t miss your last chance to catch globe-trotting dinner theater show Faulty Towers The Dining Experience. Inspired by the classic John Cleese sitcom (the misspelling is on purpose), you’ll get to play diners in a play starring three nutty hoteliers whose comedy of errors unfolds as you eat a three-course meal.

ART
In collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, the National Gallery has just launched Reframing Modernism, an exhibition that pushes common perceptions of the movement. Works by Asian Modernist-era painters such as Georgette Chen and Le Pho appear alongside European biggies Matisse and Kandinsky, on loan from the Pompidou collection. On until Jul 17.
