After launching its new route between Bangkok and Luang Prabang last month, AirAsia (www.airasia.com) has now rolled out flights between Bangkok and Laos’ capital Vientiane. Beginning Jul 1, flights from Bangkok-Vientiane will cost from B990, and Vientiane-Bangkok B1,320.  

 

Also, Thai AirAsia is now working with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on a competition that lets you design the livery for one of their planes. Go to the website (goo.gl/CBLKOC) and download the templates to create your designs under two themes: Amazing Thailand—Amazing Culture; and Amazing Thailand—Amazing Destination. The two winners will each get one-year free tickets and B50,000 cash while the two runners-up will get six months of free tickets and B20,000 cash. Apply before May 27.
