After seeing the food line up, even Santa Claus wishes he could relocate to The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok

If you’re anything like us, your house is probably getting a whole lot more vibrant this time of year. It’s almost impossible to not become excited at this time of the year. With Christmas just around the corner, The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok is rolling out a special line of treats, workshops and a marvelous all-you-can-eat buffet throughout December.

Forget about those old red-and-white candy canes, The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok is dishing out its Deluxe Hamper (B4,500) and Christmas Hamper Bag (B3,500), which both come with Ronnefeldt Teas—Germany’s venerated teahaus known for its delicate hand-picked herbal leaves—alongside locally sourced wild honey and other jolly treats. Both of which come in a clean-looking hamper bag ingraved with the hotel’s name.

If buying more stuff isn’t your thing, you can unleash your inner artists and participate in the Gingerbread House Workshop (B1,790) along with your children (limited to 6-12 year-olds). It’s a two-in-one ticket: you both get a certificate and free lunch at Seasonal Tastes’ international buffet afterwards. The class takes place on Dec 15 and 22 during 11am-3pm.

A Christmas without great food just doesn't make sense. At Seasonal Tastes you can indulge in enticing buffet lines that range from ocean delicacies—think half-grilled lobsters and seafood on ice—to honey-glazed gammon hams and roast whole turkey, all while enjoying the backdrop of Carol singers and Santa Clause. The price is at B2,699 for food only and B3,599 plus beverages, available from Dec 24-25, 12pm-3pm; 6pm-10:30pm.

Those who prefer something different this time of year can opt for Japanese feasts at Kisso. From Dec 21-30, take delight in its 3-course gozen menu—special rice meals (B1,888)—followed by crispy ice fish in an avocado salad and buttery wagyu beef, available on 12pm-2:30pm; 6pm-10:30pm. Looking for something more authentic? The Toshikoshi Soba (B659) —roughly translated as year-crossing noodle—is also ready to melt your hardships away and prepare you for the year ahead on Dec 31 from 6pm-10:30pm.
