From Apr 18-Jul 16, an 11.5-meter-tall tent across from Central World will house a winter wonderland—which is handy as this is expected to be the hottest summer in years.
Spanning 3,000 sqm, Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice got its start in the frozen north of Beijing in heady Olympic days of 2008, and the Thailand iteration is being billed as the largest winter-themed pop-up attraction ever held in Thailand.
Yes, there will be real snowboarding and ice sculptures just off Sukhumvit. The snow zone will feature snow machines from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and snow will be produced for 20 days before the event opens. In addition to all your snow sculptures, there will be an 80-meter long snow mound.
The ice zone will include a 300 sqm ice skating rink, ice skating rink and a 6.5 meter ice slide, as well as ice sculptures from the world-famous Harbin Ice Festival.
Visitors book for allotted time slots and are reminded they will be experiencing sub-zero temperatures, so dress warm if you plan to stay for a bit. A limited number of winter jackets and snowshoes can be provided.
