Ari’s swanky menswear store The Decorum is hosting another killer sartorial event, this time for shoe lovers.

From Nov 15-24, the menswear boutique will be exhibiting the top three winners from the World Championships in Shoemaking 2019, a competition held as part of the London Super Trunk Show in search of the best bespoke shoemakers from all over the globe. The event was hosted by men’s classic shoe aficionados Shoegazing and The Shoe Snob.

The competition saw over 40 expertly crafted dark brown brogue Oxfords made by bespoke shoemakers from 18 countries. They were judged anonymously by a jury of highly acclaimed bespoke shoemakers and shoe experts, with criteria including the degree of difficulty, execution and design.

The top three shoemakers are currently on tour, showcasing at various shoe and menswear stores in major cities around the world, from New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo to Stockholm, Singapore and Bangkok.

Expect stunning leather Oxfords from Swedish winner Daniel Wegan, French runner-up Christophe Corthay and Japanese bronze medalist Eiji Murata, with talks on classic footwear from guest speakers Gary Tok—a competition judge and the author of Master Shoemakers—Terashima Naoki and Kongdej Sittisuporn, a Thai alumnus of Stefano Bemer Shoemaking School (Nov 15).
