Four Hands Lunch & Dinner - Chef Koji Shimomura

From Jan 30-Feb 2 at Bangkok's French fine dining institution Le Normandie host a collaboration between chef Arnaud Dunand-Sauthier abd guest chef Koji Shimomura from two-Michelin-star Edition Koji Shimomura in Tokyo. They'll be dishing up French classics made with Japan's finest seafood like oyster from kunisaki, Hokkaido sea urchin and john dory fish. Go for the six-course lunch degustation menu for B4,500 (plus B2,400 wine-pairing) or eight-course dinner menu at B9,200 with B5,400 wine-pairing.

Between Jan 30-Feb 1, you can head to La Vie for a taste of authentic French cuisine courtesy of visiting master chef Thierry Drapeau. The French chef has garnered international recognition thanks to his two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Thierry Drapeau Logis de la Chabotterie, in Saint-Sulpice-le-Verdon, France. Combining a traditional focus on natural, local produce with an inventive approach to flavors, chef Thierry specializes in authentic jus-based dishes, which are light, herby and flavorful, yet low in butter. The seven-course menu will be available for three nights only, priced at B6,750 or B8,750 with wine pairing, and looks set to showcase his refined approach to French cuisine from La Vie's high-end, 11th-story restaurant.

AngloThai at Soul Food Mahanakorn

After training at Bangkok’s Nahm, Thai-British chef John Chantarasak was part of the team who made London’s Thai food scene laidback and funky at Som Saa, described by Time Out as the “fourth best restaurant in London” in 2016. This Feb 7, John returns to Bangkok with his solo venture AngloThai to cook alongside US chef-food writer Jarrett Wrisley at Soul Food Mahanakorn. Make reservations for a B1,500-a-head sharing menu promising bold flavors—raw beef laab, fish sauce caramel—and British touches. Wine Garage will do an optional natural wine pairing for B1,000.
