Dine With The Dragon

On Feb 22-23, Mikkeller Ari will ditch its usual Thai-focused menu to offer Bangkokians are rare try of Bhutanese food and craft beer. A collaboration with Bhutan's Namgay Artisanal Brewery, "Dine With The Dragon" will comprise an eight-course Bhutanese family-style dinner by chef Lane Lehman (head chef at the ultra-luxe Amankora in Thimphu), complete with beer pairing and welcome cocktail featuring Bhutanese whiskey K5. Dishes to expect include sikkam paa, an air-dried pork curry with tomato, onion, radish and dried chili, and kakur thingye tshem, a pumpkin curry. Omakase Experience

This Feb 22-23, The Commons welcomes chef Tsuyoshi Komatsu of Roppongi Sushi Komatsu in Tokyo back for the second edition of its omakase pop-up. Taking place at the Commons Kitchen, the dinners will showcase the chef's craftsmanship across three appetizers, 10 nigiri sushi and one dessert for B3,800 per person or B4,800 with sake pairing. Conkey’s Garden Picnic

The picnic at Conkey’s Bakery’s lush green garden returns on Feb 24 as vendors and restaurants come together for homemade treats and hot dishes. Among the vendors, you can expect Peppina, bringing along their own pizza truck, VIVIN for gourmet cheese and meat platters, Lobster & Oyster with fresh seafood, and Conkey's own breads and pastries. (Note: the picnic is also pet-friendly).

Soimilk Summer Market

On Mar 2-3, Soimilk—BK's younger sibling publication—will be hosting its very first summer market, featuring live music and over 50 vendors offering all types of food, drinks, sweet treats, fashion and crafts. Restaurants will include avocado specilaist Oh! Vacoda, low 'n' slow barbecue purveyor Feed the Beast, American bar-restaurant Dumbo, and the sweet treats and coffee of Nahim Cafe. There will also be a workshop on tea-blending techniques from Som-Chayanit Chaysombat, owner of Orange Tea. Entry is free.

Mad Face Food Week

From Mar 1-3, annual food festival Mad Face Food Week will take over the riverside Sermsuk Warehouse with exceptional dishes, culinary experiences, music and dancing. Chefs, home cooks and restaurants will host over 60 food stalls and pop-ups, offering foodies the chance to indulge in over 100 creative dishes made exclusively for this event. Sunset dinner cruises will also take place on Mar 2-3, as well as boat parties on Mar 2-3.
