Chappelle's Show co-creator Neal Brennan bringing stand-up show to Bangkok
Here to wash away those post-Christmas blues.
Right on time to wash away those post-Christmas blues, American writer and comedian Neal Brennan is set to play at The Comedy Club Bangkok on Dec 28.
He started out writing for '90s comedy classics like Kenan & Kel before collaborating with Dave Chappelle to varying degrees of success.
First came the 1997 movie Half Baked, which has since become a cult classic for all the wrong reasons.
The pair came together once more in 2003 for what was to become a far more successful venture: the Comedy Central sketch series Chappelle's Show. By the end of the second series, the show was the highest-rated on the channel.
Since then, he's appeared in 2010 movie Get Him to the Greek and been a guest on various high profile shows from Conan to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He has also become a fixture on the LA and international stand-up scenes, as well as a regular on The Daily Show as "Trevor's friend Neal."
Dec 28, 8:30pm. The Comedy Club Bangkok, 2/F The Royal Oak Pub, 595/10 Sukhumvit Soi 33/1, 02-662-1650. B800 advance here, or B1,000 on the door.
