5 family-friendly things to do in Bangkok this upcoming Thai national children’s day
Plenty to look forward to this Saturday, from cowboy events to flight simulations.
For Children’s day, PlanNeramit has created the Forest of Play, an interactive unique playground where the little ones can enjoy a variety of games, activities, and shows ranging from the “Climate Strike Run”, “Planting Seeds”, and “Music in Forest of Play”. You can also munch on a bunch of hard-to-find southern snacks, and there are lucky draws for kids with presents from PlanToys. The event is divided into 2 sessions, morning 9am-12noon (registration starts at 8.30am), afternoon 1pm-4pm (registration starts at 12.30pm), 50 families/session.

The trendy lifestyle community mall, Mille Malle, invites all cowboys and cowgirls to dress up in leather jackets and cowboy hats and join the Mille Malle Howdy Cowboy Children's Day event. The little ones will experience a good deal of Western games and fun workshops from Cowboy riding (Rodeo games), Horse Hunting,Cactus Ringtoss, and a Gun Holster workshop. The fun starts at 4pm-7pm.

If your children love Peppa Pig (the long-running British preschool cartoon that’s become an international hit) and a good story time, head to Neilson Hays Library for a special meet and greet with the characters. And join in on the story time celebration when the characters bring these popular stories to life with songs and surprises. Story time starts at 10:30am. Special activities continue until noon. Thai PBS offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience for aspiring mini reporters to be trained by real professional reporters from Thai PBS. The Kids Day event runs all day from 7am-3pm with different activities and workshops, such as an interactive robot demonstration, Dinosaur Maze Adventure, Fossil Hunter, and more. Don’t forget to bring your cloth bag to get free gifts.

For those who like flying, drop by the Royal Thai Airforce Museum. You’re kids’ (or maybe just your own) dream of flying will come true as the International Virtual Aviation Organisation organises a flight simulator for kids with volunteers guiding them through the whole journey. Plenty of other activities are also provided, from 7am-4pm.
