It’s the last weekend of Pride, so let your freak flag fly one last time. This week we’ve got everything from live music and poetry to a Pride film festival and Peruvian cuisine. 
 

Thursday 

That’s the way we do it! 

RhuBarb & CusTard presents "That's The Way To Do It!" at The CusTard Studio in Phrakanong. This event features a variety of performers and musical genres including Old School Dave, Dj Yellowbelly, John Lindsay, The Popaholics, And Jaymi Holt. Doors open at 7pm. B300, P.J. The Poet Parlor 

It’s an evening dedicated to spoken word poetry via the artistry of three unique poets, including Ameer Drane, a three-time winner of the Bangkok Poetry Slam. Spoken word allows for creative expression on various topics and in a range of styles. Limited open mic slots are available for poets so message in advance. Doors open at 6:30pm. Answer Techno

Going from 9pm to late, Mustache is putting on a massive international DJ set this Thursday with Rave Times, featuring Andre Pillar, Natsha, Paragon, Enormous Vision, and more. Tickets here, Mustache.

 

Live at Speakerbox

Starting at 7pm, Thonglor’s favorite spot for live music is putting on some classic cover acts. Haasip Haasip will pay  Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and you’ll find Bob Dylan covers, the Stones, and a handful of metal, rock, and modern punk tunes from Roy Jet. B200, Speakerbox.

HotD Phloen Chit - The OG - 9th Anniversary

Pride Film Festival 

Watch hand-picked films celebrating queer themes and beyond, along with special talks. Collaborating with the Colombian and Australian Embassies in Thailand, the festival includes screenings like "The Danish Girl," "Of An Age," "Beginners," "Miss Maria, Skirting the Mountain," and "The Iron Ladies." Disco Diaries 6 Year Anniversary

Enjoy a day and night of Disco & House Music featuring Kirollus from Groove Anthology - UK. African Ride New Song Release Party by Didier Mpondo

Since 2016, Didier Mpondo, a Cameroonian drummer influenced by jazz, has blended African rhythms with various musical styles. His performances span Afro-beat, jazz, and soul, offering something fresh and exciting. Didier and his African Ride band captivate audiences with energetic, lyrical, and timeless performances. Join the Bangkok Scots for Celtic Brunch 

The Londoner is hosting a Celtic music edition of their Sunday Brunch. Noon to 5pm, The Bangkok Scots will be there to enjoy both the music and the brunch. Established in 1890 by expatriate Scots in Siam, the Bangkok St. Andrew's Society is the oldest of its kind. They are reserving a table for anyone who wants to join them.
