It’s a good weekend for dads and techno lovers alike, as there are plenty of dinner and drink options to say thanks to your paterfamilias, but Friday kicks off one of the biggest music festivals in Bangkok, the 808 Festival. One of Bangkok’s longest running and largest electronic music festivals returns this Dec 6-8 at the Bitec Convention Center. Headlined by none other than Anyma, the technology-bending solo project from Matteo Milleri makes heavy use of CGI visuals and robot characters for something that feels like a DJ show mixed with an IMAX movie—you might have seen clips floating around on the internet already.
