The recent Motor Expo (through Dec 12, see page 31) has seen few new model launches, save for the Germans. Mercedes-Benz launched a new saloon CLS350 (a mere B8.399 million) while BMW released the 640i Coupe, the 540d Touring Sport and the Mini Cooper S Coupe. The new Mini's look really strayed too far from the original at this point—and we don’t have enough kids to fill the 520d’s backseats just yet. But sign us up for a brand new BMW 640i Coupe, in burgundy please. First introduced in Europe six months ago, this third generation of the 6 Series comes with a 3-liter six-cylinder engine featuring 320 horsepower and an 8-speed (eight!) automatic transmission. And with fuel consumption of 13.2km/liter and carbon emissions of 177g/km, it’s as green as some eco cars, in part thanks to its lightweight aerodynamic aluminum body. Now go rob a bank or a politician (B8.599 million to be precise) and call 1800-269-269 or visit www.bmw.co.th.
