The Honda automobile plant in Ayutthaya has resumed production after the floods, but we’re still waiting for locally-made cars. In the meantime, Honda has managed to import the latest Jazz (B747,000-751,000) from Japan which now comes with more air bags and a better stereo system. A more affordable, stripped down version of the Freed (B820,000) has also entered the market. Last but not least, Honda is finally rolling out the new model Civic (prices from B773,000-1,124,000), its top selling compact car. Even though there are sure to be complaints about its not-so-trendy design, the new Civic tries to lure customers with a 1.8-2.0-litre engine compatible with fuel up to E85. www.honda.co.th
