This new app wants to change how car rental works in Thailand
Is your prized set of wheels collecting dust at home?
New car-sharing service Drivemate might be a way to earn a little money on the side.
Listing your car is free: just key in your asking price, availability and conditions. You get final say on who rents your car, while a liability policy covering damages and theft promises you won’t be left out-of-pocket. If you’re looking to rent, that’s easy too.
Choose from a wide range of cars from a Toyota Vios (from B1,000/day) or BMW X1 (from B5,500/day) to a fancy Mercedes-Benz SLK convertible (B17,000/day). Enter your credit card and license details, choose your pickup location and dates you want, then pick out your vehicle. Collect the keys from the owner and you’re off.
