Having grown from humble roots as a street stall, Eats Payao has long resided in a vibrant four-story townhouse on bustling Yen Akat. On Sep 1, the northern Thai food specialist is moving to a refined new home just up the road at Tivoli Hotel (71/2-3 Soi Sri Bumpen, Yen Akat Rd.). Under the new name KIN by Eats Payao, you can expect the eye-popping pinks and oranges of the old venue to be replaced by elegant Lanna-inspired interiors. Thai cocktails will be thrown into the mix alongside the classic khao soi (northern-style curry noodles). The move marks the beginning of plans to franchise the brand.
