Last week, the Asia-inspired grilling spot Lava Asian Fire Grill launched their “New Chapter” to try to elevate fire grilling and concepts like kokoyaki, and part of the new angle will be a collaboration with Teppen.
On Jun 29, Chef Takao of Teppen will be turning his culinary talents to the grills of Thonglor, joining forces with Chef Jeriko for their “Fusion of Flavors” mashup. Dinners have the option of six-piece “Bao Bun” (B1,290) or a nine-piece (B1,890).
The event will feature three signature dishes from Teppen’s Chef Takao, including seafood yukke, warayaki gyutan, and otoro sumibi don. Teppen has long been a Bangkok success, now with four locations around the city serving up Japanese favorites.
As part of their new offerings, the Thonglor grilling giant Lava will be hosting special events each month, including chef collaborations, themed weeks, wine dinners, and, starting in July, a Sunday brunch edition.
Lava—from Lucas Molina and Adrien Astagneau of the Lava Hospitality Group—made waves when it opened in September of last year for its chic, vibrant atmosphere and unique grilling methods, chief among them being Kokoyaki, which involves using dry coconut husks for new smoky flavor to their Wagyu and Black Angus cuts.
