If you’re feeling bleu and camembert another moment without cheese, read this and you’ll feel much feta. It’s for your own gouda.

Skip the cheeseboard and go for the cheese table at these three weekend cheese smorgasbords in Bangkok.

Cheese at So

This has got to be one of the biggest and most popular cheese events in town and it only happens on the first Friday of the month. You get two hours to fit as much cheese and wine inside of you that science will allow. It’s a fun, packed venue every time with cold-cuts, dried fruit, charcuterie, breads, crackers, and dips. Be prepared, though, this is all about the cheese and if you want something else, you’re going to be disappointed. The free-flow is also proper free-flow, i.e. trying to catch the wait staff’s eye with six empty glasses on your table. No, waltz up to the counter and grab your poison. It’s So Bangkok’s Mixo Bar, too, so maybe remember to put on your fancy stretchy pants.

Keep checking in with Vivin Grocery for their cheese buffets on Sundays for four hours of unremitting cheese goodies made close to home, and you can get the same on Friday evenings. The venue has a homey feel and you can sit indoors or outdoors. Here, diners will find more than 20 cheeses, a selection of cold cuts, breads, organic salad, condiments, and more at B990. Remember to book in advance because the indoor seating can fill up quite quickly.

Cagette

For the cheese lover in Sathorn, you need to be tuned into the dairy noise that Cagette is bringing. Of course, you’ve got the Sunday Royal Brunch every week from 11:30am-3pm (B1490), but you’ve also got big (very French) events throughout. Just using this month, for example, they’ve got free-flow wine, cheese, and cold cuts to celebrate Bastille Day on July 14 (B1990) and an all-you-can-eat raclette party—for you cheeseheads who do it for the Insta—on July 7 (B890).
