Singapore's "modern Australian" restaurant Cheek by Jowl to take over Bo.lan for a night
One night, 45 seats!
On Friday Oct 12, Bangkok's uncompromisingly authentic Thai restaurant Bo.lan will welcome into the kitchen the huband and wife team behind Singapore's Cheek by Jowl.
The current holder of a Michelin star, Cheek by Jowl has made its name for an ingredient-driven take on "modern Australian" cuisine since opening in 2016.
The one-off dinner, titled "In Close Intimacy," will see Sri Lankan-born chef Rishi Naleendra handle the food, while his wife, Manuela Toniolo, takes care of the organic/biodynamic wine pairings.
Chef Rishi, who boasts experience working in renowned restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney, like Taxi Dining Room, Tetsuya’s and Yellow by Brent Savage, is known for his contemporary Australian dishes that make the most of some familiar Asian ingredients.
Best to book your seats now since there’ll only be 45 tickets available, priced at B4,200 per person (plus B2,800 if you fancy the wine pairings). To reserve a spot, call 02-260-2962 or [email protected].
In other Bo.lan news, Chef Duangporn "Bo" Songvisava has been named to appear in the fifth season of acclaimed Netflix series Chef's Table, which profiles a different world-renowned chef in each episode.
