You can even purchase rail passes at their ticketing counter.

Previously, we got cautiously excited about a Friends-themed cafe setting up shop next year. Now, it seems that before the year ends, we'll see the first travel-themed cafe in Singapore—and it's Japan bound.

The Japan Rail Cafe is managed by East Japan Railway Company (JR EAST) and will be located at Tanjong Pagar Centre. Naturally, its menu will feature Japanese gourmet bites from Tokyo F&B outlets and there will also be monthly pop-up retail booths selling kawaii items from shopping malls inside JR EAST's train stations.

Food and drink aside, the place will also be a one-stop service center for your next trip to Japan, You can buy rail passes and chat with bilingual agents making off-the-beaten-path recs. The cafe will also host monthly workshops about the different destinations and Japanese-themed cultural events.

The Japan Rail Cafe will open in Nov 2016 and more details will be announced at a later date. For more updates, check out their Facebook page here.
