Yep, the salted egg craze has followed us into 2019

Leave your new year dieting resolutions for later. With festive feasts behind us and Chinese New Year banquets ahead of us, you’d think January will be the best time to have a breather from all the eating. Well, everyone’s favourite fast food chain ain’t allowing that to happen.

Starting Jan 3, Mickey D’s will be offering three all-new items – Salted Egg Yolk Loaded Fries, Peach Pie and Pandan Soft Serve – available at all McDonald’s outlets in Singapore and via delivery through McDelivery and GrabFood for a limited time.

The salted egg fries costs $1.20 more when you order a meal. Meaning you gotta top-up that amount for the sweet and savoury sauce to be drenched onto your fries as a meal upgrade. The Peach Pie meanwhile, which costs $1.40 onwards, is made from the same crust as your regular Apple Pie, but filled with peach chunks instead and given a peachy-pink hue.

Then you got variations of the new Pandan Soft Serve, that you can have on a cone (from $1), twist cone or choco cone (from $1.20), or even as a sundae (from $2) or McFlurry (from $3).

Besides that, they are also bringing back the Ha Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Drumlets (from $2.40 for two pieces) and its special edition Happy Sharing Box (from $7.90) that includes four pieces of the prawn paste drumlets and six pieces of nuggets.
