Guglielmo Vuolo, who's party piece is pizza dough made using Mediterranean seawater, takes over the kitchen at Sukhumvit Soi 31 on Nov 19, while Peppina's new branch at Tha Maharaj is no officially open.

So last month we got a Peppina in Sriracha, followed a couple days later by a Peppina food truck at the Spring Epicurean market. Now, there's even more news from our favorite pizzeria.

For one, they've opened a whole new Bangkok branch at Tha Maharaj riverside community mall (1/F, 11/1 Maharaj Rd., 02-024-1330). It's basically the same as the original—delicious pizza, deep-fried Italian delicacies, hearty grilled meats, fresh pastas and acres of bare concrete and wood—only about one-third the size and with amazing river views.

But the really exciting news happens Thu, Nov 19, when the original Sukhumvit Soi 31 branch welcomes Italian pizza-making god Guglielmo Vuolo for nights of special dinners (Nov 19-22). His party piece is pizza dough made using seawater taken from the Mediterranean off Puglia, the heel of Italy, which takes center stage in his all-pizza menu for the evening.

We're already salivating at the sound of his Assoluto di Marinara (Vuolo’s "special" tomato selection, wild oregano, organic olive oil and fresh garlic from the Ufita Valley, B340) and the Passatempo (salsa verde pizza, B340).
