Sofitel So's rooftop restaurant unveils new chef, new sharing concept
New casual dining menu, same 29th-floor views at Park Society.
Sofitel So's rooftop restaurant Park Society has had a refresh, unveiling a new menu that eschews fine dining in favor of more casual, shareable bites.
There's a new chef de cuisine, too: Joost Bijster, formerly of Savelberg and a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in his native Netherlands, serves up "modern Western cuisine" that spotlights imported seafood, cold cuts and cheeses.
You can still expect delicate plating in dishes like burrato di bufala with heirloom tomatoes (B590), pan-seared Tasmanian salmon with white asparagus, leek, fennel and hollandaise sauce (B990), and Iberico belotta with fresh melon (B850).
Our pick might go to the light yet flavorful lobster salad with beetroot, green apple and strained yogurt (B750).
The adjoining Park Society Terrace bar has also unveiled several new cocktails including Gold Fashioned (B320), a twist on the classic Old Fashioned made with Johnnie Walker Gold Label, orange bitters, honey, ginger ale and gold dust.
