It never fails to surprise us just how many new F&B establishments are popping up around town. One of the latest is Hummerstons (#02-14 Robertson Walk, 11 Unity St., 6737-8863 / 8428-1620), a three-week-old eatery that’s serving up casual American fare. At the moment, they’re only open for dinner every Tue-Sun, 6pm-midnight. We’ll be adding this on to our list of late night dining spots to hit.

Another place to look out for is The Privé Group’s newest offering, Roadhouse (Blk 13 Dempsey Rd., no phone number yet), due to open by the end of the month. We’ve been told to expect a Josper Grill-centric communal style menu including signature charcoal-grilled steaks and Wagyu burgers, as well as whole Spanish-style suckling pig and roasted chermoula-marinated chicken.

If you’re in the city and aren’t over the whole bubble tea craze quite yet, you’ll be especially thrilled to know that Artease (#01-35, 1 Tanjong Pagar Plaza, 6222-6966) opened their second outlet just over two weeks ago, with flavors including chocolate rose tea ($2.90 upwards), peach osmanthus tea ($2.60 upwards) and passion fruit green tea with aloe vera ($3.70 upwards). Check it out at #01-03 Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, 8 Grange Rd., 6235-6966.

There’s also gelato store Lippolis (#01-06 Chijmes, 30 Victoria St., 6333-9334), which opened less than two weeks ago. Aside from the usual suspects, we also spotted flavors such as buffalo milk, watermelon, mozzarella cheese and pineapple ($5 upwards).
