Because this weather needs shaved ice.

Matcha Ten

Head chef Sasitorn Charoensuk tells us the kakigori here is made from mineral water, thus resulting in softer and fluffier shaved ice. Toppings include pumpkin, tiramisu, Hokkaido Melon (B380), Fukuoka strawberry and, our favorite, chestnut cream (B240).
66 Sathorn Soi 6. Tel. 02-632-2559 Opens daily 9am-10pm.

Maygori

After debuting on After You's menu last year, the much-hyped icy treat kakigori now has its own separate shop, providing even more choices of toppings for your delicate shaved ice, including ume (Japanese plum, B185), yuzu yogurt panna cotta (yuzu sauce, yogurt cream, panna cotta, B185) and mont blanc (chestnut cream and roasted chestnut, B245).
The Commons, Thonglor Soi 17. Tel. 02-185-2519. Opens daily noon-10pm.

Sweet Café by Wine I Love You

Wine I Love You relaunched its dessert cafe, adding more items to the previously American treat-focused menu, including kakigori. Dig in to the likes of strawberry cheesecake (B220) and mango panna cotta (B210) kakigori and you’ll find soft-serve ice cream right in the center.
6/F, Central World, 999/9 Rama 1 Rd. BTS Siam/Chit Lom

Hiro Keki

The Sushi Hiro empire’s newest spread sees a sizable dessert cafe offering a huge menu of Japanese sweets. And, of course, they don’t miss the trending kakigori. Pick from options like strawberry (B240), matcha and red bean (B240), Milo (B235) and summer fruits (with melon, kiwi, strawberry, mango and passion fruit, B260).

Sweet Pista Little Cafe

The brand new cafe located just in front of the original beloved Sukhumvit Soi 31 venue matches kakigori with some classic savory flavors, including Thai combination plahang tangmo (watermelon and sweet dried fish, B150 and B35) and Italian melon-parma ham (B250 and B65).

Apbo Cafe

The highlight of this new far-flung cafe on Ramintra is its unique sweet potato topping (B175), made with imported Japanese purple sweet potatoes. But the Japanese shaved ice is not the only trend it follows. You can also find freakshakes and toasts here, too.
The Promenade Ramintra, 081-449-4220. Opendaily 10am-9pm

Jaiyen Cafe

Not only does this cute cafe’s wide variety of ice-cream help you beat the heat, but they’ve also jumped on the kakigori train. Among the Instagram-worthy icy treats, our pick is the mint choc (B185), which sees candy-colored thick sauce tipped over the delicately shaved pile of ice. Other options include Milo, ichigo (strawberry), lemon crumble and matcha red bean. Only at the Thonglor Soi 13 branch.
Thonglor Soi 13, 098-251-6485. Open daily noon-10pm
