Messengerservice Bar relocates to Chinatown for a sleek look and hot new cocktails
Coming with the new concept of “grocery store” bar.
Out of Phatthanakan, Messengerservice Bar gets closer to home with their new spot at the Baan Trok Tua Ngork space in Yaowarat. To celebrate the relocation, they’ve launched a new cocktail concept concentrating on ingredients called the “Grocery Store.”
Messengerservice comes to Bangkok from the minds behind the award-winning Bar Us, recently named as one of No.41 at the World’s 50 Best Bars, and they’re turning their drinking room into a grocery concept for their new cocktails.
The bar has signature drinks on offer like the Calamansi + Jasmine, a margarita-style cocktail with the floral notes of jasmine and orange liqueur, and the Corn Salad, a creative drinks inspired by grocery shelves with the mixture of sweet corn, sweet basil distilled, Jalapeño, almond, paprika, and more.
The bar is inside Baan Trok Tua Ngork, the 100 year-old commercial building on Santiphap road, a heritage building made of five old shophouses that have been repurposed for Bangkok shopping, dining, and nightlife.
The shelves are lined with bottles of ingredients, and the whole feel of the place is a bit more like a cafe than you’d expect. The interior is furnished with wooden counters and chairs; minimalistic vases aligned with the antiquity of the building under the dim light.
306, Thanon Santiphap, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, 094-949-9493. Open Tue-Thu 6pm-midnight; Fri-Sun 6pm-late.
