When was the last time you let yourself be a kid?

Siam’s design-forward cafe Chim Chim has continued its tradition of rotating local artworks to don their creative space. This time, they’ve teamed up Thai artist and illustrator Pomme Chan to transport you to the 80s and 90s in Bangkok.

Dubbed “Arcade of Dreams,” the project is inspired by the artist’s time during Covid-19 lockdown, which gave her time to reminisce with memories of her childhood.

Her youth is writ large in the designs—ranging from kanom chan cushion patterns and arcade machines to photo booths and classic Thai games.

Part of the collaboration is the food inspired by Pomme’s illustrations, like kanom chan mille feuille (B290), a fun concept dessert which combines both Thai and French layered pastries stuffed with pandan cream, Thai tea croissant (B130), and mango sticky rice cruffin (B130).

Drink-wise, if you were a kid growing up in Thailand, then Pink Cassette (B200) is for you: yuzu juice blended with colorful Pepo jellies and soda water.
