Joe & Dough has opened their first full-dining concept in Holland Village
Mains to go with your cuppa joe
It’s not hard to find a good coffee in Holland Village; but variety is always welcome when it comes to weekend brunch. Joining the enclave’s portfolio of casual cafes and brunch hangouts is none other than homegrown coffee chain Joe & Dough, with their first-ever full-dining concept.
Occupying an entire two-storey shophouse, the cafe takes the place of a former Costa Coffee outlet (Costa 269). Spanning 3,300 sq ft and seating 90 across two floors, it’s the chain’s largest outlet in Singapore—plus the first to offer an all-day dining menu. On it are eight all-day brunch items, eight mains and five sides, alongside Joe & Dough’s signature coffees and homemade bakes. Dig into the 63-degree Truffled Eggs with Toast ($7) for breakfast, which come with sous vide eggs in dashi shoyu and truffle oil atop garlic butter toast; or the Smashed Avocado with Apricot Confit ($12), a healthy brunch classic made new with the apricot.
For something more filling, there’s the signature Short Ribs Mac & Triple Cheese ($20) featuring marinated grain-fed beef short ribs served on elbow pasta; or the Smoked Salmon Ochazuke ($16), a grain bowl of Japanese Koshihikari rice in matcha dashi broth served with smoked salmon.
A homegrown chain reclaiming the land previously occupied by a British one? Hold our coffee; seems to us the F&B industry is decolonising just in time for the Bicentennial.
Joe & Dough Holland Village is located at 269 Holland Avenue, and is open 8am-10pm (Mon to Sun).
