Bangkok can be paradise for Japanese food lovers, with both budget and high-end sushi omakase spots lining the streets. But when it’s raining and traffic looks nasty, who can be bothered? This new sushi delivery spot in Thonglor Soi 13 could change that.

Sushi on delivery doesn’t always mean compromising on quality rolls. Gin no Sara, the popular sushi delivery service hailing from Japan, just opened its first overseas branch here at Thonglor’s Japan market.

With their deliveries modeled after okamochi (wooden carrying box), Gin no Sara ensures that sushi still looks fresh and maintains a perfect balance regardless of how bad the traffic is—which is saying something considering the state of Bangkok these days.

Sushi options start at B490 for three varieties of maguro sushi, featuring chu-toro, aburi chu-toro, and maguro, while the assorted chutoro is priced at B999.

The delivery area currently covers four neighborhoods: Ekkamai, Thonglor, Phrom Phong, and Asok, but they plan to expand their delivery areas in the near future.
