Get in line, dessert lovers. Bangkok’s favorite creative ice cream shop has finally opened a sit-down store in Mahatun Plaza.
Guss Damn Good, which started as a small start-up in Boston with co-owners Rarin and Natee, opened their fourteenth store at the end of September, Guss Ploenchit, giving Bangkokians a space to sit down and enjoy some Tokyo Mist or Feel So Good with some hearty cafe food.
Along with their unique flavors and ingredient mashups, this Guss Damn Good is taking things even farther with a menu with sundaes, milkshakes, waffles, coffees, and savory slides.
For a sweet and salty indulgence, we recommend the vanilla maple waffle (B325), a crispy, freshly baked waffle topped with maple syrup and sprinkled with crunchy, salty, and sweet bacon. If you feel like something more substantial, try one of their selections of sliders. There's the breakfast slider (B280), which is made with steamed egg custard and soft poached eggs topped with organic vegetables, Sloan’s Paris ham, and dijonnaise. Sliders are served on soft, moist homemade brioche buns. For something classic, get a good ol’ PB&J (B135).
As ever, Guss Damn Good brings the flavor—some of which you can only get at this branch. For your bevvies, Guss now has its own coffee with a selection of the Guss medium roast or the lighter sorbet roast. For an ice cream and coffee pairing, try Guss’s affogato, toffee nut latte, or house-made caramel macchiato.
What’s better, this place is open from morning until late, so you can wake up to a Guss coffee, a breakfast slider, or perhaps even some ice cream for breakfast—come on, no one’s watching.
