The latest themed afternoon tea to hit Phrom Phong’s Bangkok Trading Post will send Disney fans giddy with its Beauty and the Beast theme.

Former pastry chef at Robuchon Bangkok, Yannis Janssens, has whipped up a fairytale feast of smoked salmon with caviar; escargot croissants with black truffle; brioche with lobster and tarragon; comte cheese and bacon scones; traditional buttermilk scones with passion apricot mint marmalade; and a host of sweet treats from macarons to the iconic “Last Petal.”

There will, of course, also be plenty of organic teas on offer, ranging form classic Oolong to fruity mango black tea, though our vote goes to the unique Gin Tonic Tea Pot (B300), which lets you get tipsy on the sly.

A Fairytale Afternoon Tea will be available from Oct 4-Dec 1 every Friday, Saturday, Sunday (1-3pm and 3:30-5:30pm), priced at B1,200/person, or B2,150 with a 200ml bottle of Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial Champagne.
