The chef behind Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen opens another classic Italian joint
Come for the pasta, stay for the wood-fired oven.
Lenzi Tuscan Kitchen is one of the first Italian restaurants that comes to mind in Bangkok—a long-time favorite. After opening Nonna Nella, another authentic Italian spot inspired by grandma’s recipes, chef Francesco Lenzi has now launched Casa Lenzi.
Using Italian-imported produce from a family farm is something to be expected from all Lenzi establishments, and Casa Lenzi is no exception, featuring award winning cheese and premium meats from Tuscany.
Their list of pasta covers everything from seafood risotto to some good ol’ homemade meatball pasta. Though the flavors are familiar, the experimental ingredients add an extra touch to the classics.
Casa Lenzi also boasts a wood-fired oven with plenty of grilled meat on offer, with selections like Australian angus tenderloin, grain-fed wagyu rib eye, and tasmanian lamb chop.
The kitchen is led by Italian Chef Stafano Merlo who cut his teeth at the esteemed three Michelin star Italian restaurant Le Calendre. Bringing his expertise to Thailand, the chef has run some recognizable Italian ventures, namely Enoteca, Rossini, and Jojo at the St. Regis.
