The search for the golden ticket begins.

The Londoner, the Pattanakarn-based British microbrewery formerly located in Phrom Phong, is livening up its pub fare—and beer—with a unique collaboration.

At an exclusive dinner party on Sep 30, the pub will present a new range of cacao-based dishes and a double chocolate stout made in collaboration with Thailand-based chocolate maker Pridi Cacaofevier.

Think chicken tacos with chocolate mole, lamb meatballs with chocolate sauce, pork ribs with spicy chocolate sauce, beef ribs with a chocolate rub, and chocolate brownies with vanilla bean ice cream, all made with Pridi’s sustainable, single-origin chocolate. The beer, meanwhile, utilizes spent ingredients from the chocolate-making process by incorporating Pridi’s cacao bean husks into the brew.

Those dishes and the beer will remain on the menu through October, but if you want to be one of the first to try them, visit the pub this month. In a nod to Willy Wonka, but presumably without the test of your moral character, the Londoner is selling 100 single-origin chocolate bars from Pridi, available in five flavors—vegan coconut chocolate, salted cashew, caramel peanut butter, roasted coffee, and 64 percent dark chocolate (B220 each). Inside five of the 100 chocolate bars are golden tickets, offering spots for two to the dinner party. (At press time, three had already been found.)

The Londoner has a bunch of interesting events going on this month, too, from car boot sales to beer buffets (from B499 for three hours of free-flow beer) and collabs with brands like Pizza Massilia. Check out the pub’s website or Facebook page for more information.
