Quietly popping back on the scene with a soft opening in October, Bo.lan has officially announced its reopening this month, open from Thursday to Sunday. 
 
Reports of Bo.lan’s death have been greatly exaggerated—including by BK, which wrote in 2021 that the restaurant would be closing for good. That “for good” lasted about 10 months before the celebrity chef couple launched a special dining experience. Now, their doors are officially open in December this year.
 
Still at their spot on Sukhumvit Soi 53, chefs Duangporn “Bo” Songvisava and Dylan Jones began Bo.lan in 2009 and have since been a lauded fixture on the city’s fine dining scene. Along with plaudits the world over, Bo.lan was No.9 at the 2020 Top Tables before Covid and the closure of their permanent venue. The couple was also featured in the Netflix "Chef’s Table" anthology.
 
"We are thrilled to reopen Bo.lan and share our passion for Thai cuisine with our patrons once again," Chef Bo said in the announcement of the restaurant’s opening. "The past three years have been a journey of self-discovery and culinary exploration, and we can't wait to showcase the results."
 
Now the couple are back with a renewed commitment to sustainability, zero waste, and Thailand’s culinary heritage, according to a press release from the restaurant. With an eye to a zero carbon footprint, the space will be sourcing local ingredients, composting kitchen waste, reducing their chemical waste. 
 
The couple have not been idle. Their Err: Urban Rustic Thai opened its first space in Thonglor last year and opened another just seven months ago at Asai Bangkok Sathorn. Also, in the daytime, Bo.lan operates as the Food Trust Organic Food Cafe and Grocery. 
 
Long pioneers in the realm of high-end Thai dining, the renewed space will offer two tasting menus, the Bo.lan Balance for B4,200 and Bo.lan Feast B4,800.
