If you said a few years ago that a Youtube personality could pack out a pad kaphrao restaurant every day, you’d have been crazy. But Mark Wiens fills Phed Mark daily with elephant pants-wearing tourists looking for the spiciest dish in town, and now it’s all about the burgers with Big Mark. 

 

The team at Aroi Mark is venturing into everyone’s favorite American comfort food on Sukhumvit Soi 28, dishing out classic burgers and diner staples.

 

The team includes the eponymous star of last year’s TV series and “Food Affair with Mark Wiens” and who has more than 10 million subscribers, blogger and Youtuber “Tan” of iTan, and Pongtap “Tap” Anurak who doubles as the restaurant’s logo designer. Aside from the OG members, this project is also in partnership with chef Kamol “Gigg” Chobdee-ngam, winner of Iron Chef 2015 and third generation owner of the fine dining restaurant Lerdtip.

 

The interior design of the shop is inspired by American diners with a red and yellow palette for an old school look. On the menu, Big Mark’s most common base ingredients are their potato burger buns, dry-aged beef, and pork patties. Side dishes include nuggets, tater tots, and french fries.

 

The shop has been in a soft opening for about a month and is available in-store and for delivery.
