Haoma, Broccoli Revolution and Barefood Bangkok join forces.

On Oct 10-11, Sukhumvit's "urban-farm restaurant" Haoma will team up with Broccoli Revolution and Barefood Bangkok for a two-night vegan culinary feast to mark the Jay Festival.

Jay Fest (Oct 9-17), aka Tesagan Gin Jay, is a nine-day, meat-free Chinese festival that is celebrated in annually. People in Thailand, especially those who have Chinese ancestry, practice Jay, wearing white and eating dishes free from meat and pungent vegetables like garlic and onion to cleanse their body.

Chef Deepanker Khosla of Haoma, along with Naya Ehrlich-Adam of Broccoli Revolution, and Edoardo Bonavolta and Taksina Nuangsri-Anttila of Barefood Bangkok, will create a menu highlighting their own vegan products and personal recipes which incorporate greens and herbs from Haoma’s aquaponic, hydroponic and compost farm.

The seven-course meal (B1,700) will follow Jay guidelines—that is, no meat, dairy or products derived from animals, and no onion or garlic. Some dishes to expect are a heirloom tomato soup showing off Chiang Mai tomatoes, edible flowers and celery sorbet, and charcoal-grilled butternut squash-fermented buckwheat, purple potato puree and curly kale.

An optional Broccoli Revolution juice pairing is available for an additional B499.
