At the Wynn Las Vegas on Wednesday, the
World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 revealed their list of the best places to eat around the world, featuring four Bangkok eateries.
Ranking at the top spot for Bangkok, and the only Thailand restaurant to crack the top 10, is Gaggan. The celebrity chef and eponymous owner Gaggan Anand took 9th place for the famed restaurant’s innovative take on Indian cuisine to evoke a multi-sensory experience.
Next up for Bangkok was Sühring, the innovative resto from Mathias and Thomas Sühring, ranking at No.23 on the World’s 50 Best list. Sühring also took home No.3 at Top Tables 2023. Next is notoriously difficult to book Sorn, which ranks at 38, and at No.40 is Le Du from Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn. Le Du and Gaggan ranked 15 and 17
last year respectively.
Just after launching a fine dining venture in collaboration with Louis Vuitton—serving high fashion alongside haute flavors—Gaggan took home the top spot for Thailand at
