Finally, fine Nordic cuisine comes to the fore

True to Andre Chang’s promise as he announced the closure of Restaurant Andre at the end of 2017, the space on Bukit Pasoh previously occupied by the restaurant will be housing a new concept currently unseen in Singapore.

Swedish chef and restaurateur Bjorn Frantzen of Stockholm’s three Michelin-starred Frantzen (the first and only three-starred establishment in Sweden), will be partnering with Unlisted Collection to open Zen in Singapore come Nov 21. Zen will be helmed by Frantzen’s Executive Chef Marcus Jernmark for the first three months of operations.

Zen will be Frantzen’s first international restaurant to serve only a tasting menu, and will likely carry much of the DNA of it’s Swedish parent restaurant, that is in turn a melting pot of the simplicity and elegance of Nordic, French and Japanese cuisines.

Act fast if you’re interested, for spots in the intimate three-storey space is bound to be snatched up quickly once tables are open from Oct 1.

Zen opens Nov 21 on 41 Bukit Pasoh Rd. Reservations will open Oct 1 at 10am.
