Wonderfruit’s lockdown dinner series goes out with a bang this Friday
Expect a fruit-themed feast created by top chefs from across Asia.
From the organizers of Wonderfruit festival, Fruitfull has been connecting diners with its virtual dinners since April. The “Lockdown” series has seen chefs from top Bangkok restaurants like Bo.lan and Gaa deliver exclusive multi-course meals, which diners then enjoy together virtually, accompanied by live-streamed interactive demonstrations, conversations and music.
The series is going out with a bang on Jun 12, when the grand finale will invite an unmissable line-up of chefs to the kitchen. Themed around Thailand’s bounty of seasonal fruits, the dinner will see nine all-stars from restaurants across Asia each create a dish. The roster includes: Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones of Bo.lan, Bangkok; Chihiro Naito of An Di, Shibuya; Daniel Calvert of Belon, Hong Kong; Dave Pynt of Burnt Ends, Singapore; Garima Arora of Gaa, Bangkok; Hiroyasu Kawate of Florilège, Tokyo; Mingoo Kang of Mingles, Seoul; Rishi Naleendra of Cloudstreet, Singapore; and Tahara Ryogo of Logy, Taipei.
Expect dishes like pink guava and pomegranate chaat from Garima Arora; a “burnt ends” Hawaian pizza from Dave Pynt; scallop ravioli with pomelo and shio kombu from Daniel Calvert; and kimchi watermelon ice cream from Mingoo Kang.
Priced at B3,900 per person, the nine-course dinner will be delivered to your door and comes with access to a private live stream with the chefs and other diners, kicking off at 7:30pm. Opt for additional cocktail pairing curated by Tropic City for B1,000 (three drinks). Tickets available now via Ticketmelon.
