Who/What: Jalan Besar's resident cocktail bar cum co-working space The Refinery joins up with Artichoke's Bjorn Shen for hip-hop and street food.
Highlights: Bjorn is slated to open a Thai restaurant called Bird Bird, so expect dishes like garlic fried chicken and Chiang Mai curried noodles along with The Refinery's yakitori-ish selection.
Details: No cover. 7pm till late.

Kilowax x Beat Bodega (Sat, Apr 25)

Who/What: DJ collective Kilowatt Soundsystem and the folks behind Sundays at the Training Shed do a semi-outdoor party/vinyl flea market at Aristry.
Highlights: The flea market is open to anyone with vinyl and music equipment to sell/trade. Head down early to get a booth (it's free). DJs will be spinning oldies, funk, dancehall, etc. Oh, and ice cream sandwiches by the Ice Cream & Cookie Co.
Details: Free entry. 4pm-midnight. Finger food, burgers and beers available from Artistry, of course.

Kilo After Dawn (Sat, Apr 25)

Who/What: Leafy brunch/night spot Kilo and party planners After Dark are behind this daytime to nighttime outdoor party with views of the Kallang River
Highlights: Details are scant, but so far we've been promised the roasting of whole hogs, carnival games, an art market and lots of house music.
Details: No cover charge. noon-10pm, with an afterparty inside at Kilo Lounge
