Wonderfruit: More than a music festival
Take a journey through the arts for three days with one of the most exciting lifestyle and music festivals that’s ever taken place in Thailand.
[brought to you by Wonderfruit]
Taking place from Dec 19-21, Wonderfruit is an eco-friendly camping trip that combines the arts, dining, health and well-being.
Although the chic Safari and Bell Tents are already sold out, you can still book a Camping Plus pre-erected tent in the General Camping area, which comes with two single airbeds and sleeping bags for two. Or just bring your own tents, free of charge.
Special accommodation aside, you’re guaranteed quality party tunes thanks to collaborations from two of Bangkok’s most reputed event collectives, underground sound purveyors Trust and party organizers Kolour. Each stage at the festival comes with a different design, with the special Solar Stage specially designed to offer the best sunset and sunrise experiences while you enjoy the show.
The massive international lineup includes electro favorites Little Dragon (Sweden), hip-hop trio De La Soul (US), seven-piece dub act Fat Freddy’s Drop (New Zealand), nu-disco group Hercules and Love Affair (US), Swedish troubadour Jose Gonzalez and alternative hiphop DJ The Gaslamp Killer. They will also be joined by a diverse list of local acts.
Away from the music, expect an array of pop-up stalls by top names such as The Never Ending Summer, Burnt Ends (Singapore) and Quince Eatery & Bar, plus street food, healthy juices and booze. Limited tickets are also available for long table banquets by award-winning chef David Thompson (Nahm) and a Roman feast by Paolo Vitaletti (Appia/Peppina). The festival grounds will also integrate contemporary art installations from artists such as Lolay, Wit Pimkanchanapong, Rukkit Kuanhawate and Kanta Horio.
Focused on the idea of “healthy living, social consciousness and sustainability,” the festival aims to recycle, compost and use only locally and naturally sourced materials in its production.
