How to get fit during office hours
We get it—you finish work, you’re tired, you're hungry, the last thing you feel like doing is working out. But there is another way to squeeze some exercise into your day with these lunchtime fitness classes.
Why: If you’ve got a stressful job, the obvious way to unwind and tone up is yoga—it’s calming, centering and great for relieving anxiety. Double bonus, it’ll help counteract some of that poor posture from sitting hunched over your computer all day.
When: 12:15pm weekdays
How much: $40 for a single class.
Where: Hom Yoga
Why: Give your day a little zing with a fast-paced and energetic Zumba workout—it’s half aerobics half dance and is set to upbeat Latin music (kind of like a salsa club without the alcohol).
When: 12:30pm Wednesdays.
How much: Sign up online to get a fitness pass to try one class for free.
Where: Amore Fitness
Why: If you’re into spin, don’t miss Boutique studio CryCycle that’s just popped up in Duxton. They have The Pack Ride spin classes which are suitable for all fitness levels and include a section on abs so it’s not just about the legs.
When: 12:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
How much: A single class is $50.
Where: CruCycle
Why: If you’re really short on time during your lunch break (who isn’t?) hit up one of Virgin Active’s numerous 30-minute weekday classes. Try Powerplate for something a little bit different and combine static exercise moves with intense Powerplate vibrations.
When: 12:45pm Tuesdays.
How much: Flexible memberships start from $42.50 per week.
Where: Virgin Active
Why: Another one for those trying to blame lack of time as an excuse for a lack of exercise. Ritual offers a custom 30-minute program using your own body instead of equipment to tone, strengthen and condition.
When: 1pm daily.
How much: $50 for a 7-day trial.
Where: Ritual
Why: Beat out any stresses from your working week and get pumped for the weekend with a high-intensity, ass-kicking boxing class.
When: 12pm and 12:55pm Fridays.
How much: Your first class is complimentary, membership starts from $299.
Where: Physical Abuse
Why: Maximize your workouts with high-intensity exercise targeting lots of muscle groups at once. Riot pump classes use weights, cardio and calisthenics to give you a total body workout in just 45 minutes.
When: 12:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.
How much: $149 per month for unlimited sessions.
Where: R-Evolution
Why: If you want to put a bounce back in your step and feel like a kid again, head straight to Amped. Not only is bouncing on giant trampolines all kinds of fun, we promise it also gives you a serious leg workout.

How much: From $10 per hour
Where: Amped Trampoline Park
