Siwilai City Club reopens after an all-out renovation
The revamp incorporates an updated food menu to enhance the social aspect of the experience
Just in time for the end of the rainy season (and with that, the return of sweet, glorious sunshine), Siwilai City Club has reopened its doors—but not without having undergone a near-full transformation. For those unfamiliar with it, the venue is the original social club arm of multi-facet lifestyle brand Siwilai, which also has a store and café. Siwilai City Club is a vast rooftop restaurant and bar sprawled across the fifth floor of Central Embassy. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, although no matter where you grab a spot, you’ll get gorgeous aerial views of Phloen Chit’s neighborhood. We personally recommend taking in the rays and the panoramic cityscape on one of the plush lounge seats out on the sand-colored terrace.

The Siwilai team gave a sneak peek of their renovations a few months ago when they unveiled their intimate City Bar space—and now, the revamp is complete thanks to a rejigged culinary program. Each of the different spaces that make up Siwilai City Club will now feature separate “day” and “night” menus.
For starters, you can now enjoy brunch with a view! The opening hours have been extended, and beginning from 11am, diners can dig into brunch delights including egg breakfast burritos, and towering breakfast sandwiches (we recommend the pork and avocado). No morning is complete without that cup of joe, which is why Siwilai takes its coffee offerings very seriously and have even created their own signature Siwilai coffee made from high-quality beans that are roasted in-house.

Not really a morning person? Swing by for lunch for their signature vodka rigatoni, or the spicy soft-shell crab spaghetti. Meat lovers will have plenty of options to choose from, including grilled varieties of all the classic cuts of meat (think: Wagyu ribeye, lamb loin, and dry-aged T-Bone steak). There are several vegetarian dishes as well, ranging from several salads with fresh, high-quality ingredients to a cheesy roasted portobello mushroom grilled sandwich on homemade sourdough bread.
In our opinion, the new “Night Menu” is where the fun begins. The “new age Thai” menu was created with the mission to take locally-sourced ingredients from different regions around Thailand and prepare them with modern, unexpected techniques. The result is an assortment of fun delights, like their plaah tartlets which are made with a seafood medley, lemongrass, and chili, or the pork tomahawk Miang, a bone-in cut of pork served with chili paste and betel leaves that is a nod to the Thai snack “miang.”

But it’s not just the food that’s been revamped. There’s an upgraded beverage menu that now features six new exclusive handcrafted drinks, including a section of “Big Stick” drinks that are served in an extra big glass that’s meant to be shared.
One of Siwilai City Club’s main highlights is its versatility, catering to those seeking a relaxing atmosphere as well as those in the mood for a vibrant experience. They feature incredible musical acts every night from Wednesday to Saturday, including live DJ’s and groovy soulful bands. From some of the city’s hottest DJ’s to groovy soulful bands. Keep an eye on their social media for regularly updated lineups.
