Opening Oct 24, this exhibition by Thai artist Suntur aims to blend art and sound, as Suntur collaborated with 26 well-known Thai artists and musicians, including Gongkan and Thanachai Ujjin (Pod Moderndog). Be sure to bring earphones with you, too.

Mascarade by Christian Poggetti

 

Hosted by Alliance Francaise, this exhibition will show work made by Christian Poggetti, or “Bilou,” a French artist who has been living in Asia for more than thirty years. “Mascarade” interprets the concept of how human beings have multiple personality traits by wearing masks to disguise or conceal themselves.

A Short Film and Art Installation by Prim Patnasiri

 

Hosted at ATT 19, this installation is emerging Thai artist Prim Patnasiri’s debut solo exhibition. She will be showing artwork and a short film named “It’s always a changing stream of water before we meet the big blue sea.”

Thai Contemporary Art in Transition

 

With the Bangkok Art Biennale set to kick off this Oct 29, the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand hosts a discussion about the impact of the pandemic on the country’s nascent contemporary art scene, led by critics and key art figures like Apinan Poshyanada, chief executive and artistic director of Bangkok Art Biennale, and Kong Rithdee, deputy director of the Thai Film Archives.
