Khaosan Road’s biggest club is throwing a weekend bash to celebrate the Day of the Dead—the annual Mexican holiday with indigenous roots dating back as long as 2,500 years. The actual Day of the Dead celebrations take part on Nov 2 around the world, but this event lights up this Saturday from Oct. 27-31. It’s a part pre-Halloween, part pre-Day of the Dead party if you think about it. The DJ roster includes Monito, Dear Re Rox and Mizz G, and there will also be a “Wheel of Death”, live performances, photobooth games, giveaways and all-night promotions. If you show up a little early in the night you can catch the DOTD-themed parade bouncing around Khaosan from 9:30-11:30pm.

French M.O.F. award holder Stephane Buron, of the Alpine two-Michelin-starred Le Chabichou, will be hosting four days of set lunches (four-courses, B3,500 or B5,000 with wine-pairing) and dinners (seven-courses, B6,500 or B8,500 with wine-pairing) between Oct 31-Nov 3 at Vie Hotel Bangkok.

W Bangkok’s The Dining Room at the House on Sathorn has secured chef Dani Garcia of Marbella, Spain’s two-Michelin-star Dani Garcia Restorante. Garcia won’t be cooking alone. Instead, the B9,900 12-course menu (Nov 2-3) will be made in collaboration with The Dining Room’s Fatih Tutak.

On Nov 2 at Hair of the Dog (Phrom Phong branch), California's Heretic Brewing Company takes over the 13 tapes. with the addition of six new beers. Heretic's own brewer, Jamil Zainasheff, will answer questions about all things beer and more.

Enjoy samples of premium, sustainably-grown chocolate from Chiang Mai, learn about the chocolate making process with Siamaya co-founder Kristian Levinson, and indulge in special chocolate desserts prepared by chef Enzo De La Cruz.

It seems Bangkok can’t get enough of Nordic flavors lately, so it only makes sense that The St. Regis Bangkok has launched Scandinavian Week from Nov 4-11. Thai-born, Swedish guest chef Sayan Isaksson (previously of Stockholm’s Michelin-starred Esperanto) will host a Scandi-Thai inspired Sunday brunch (B3,200) at VIU on Nov 11, as well as a full eight-course degustation menu (B3,800) and three-course set lunch (B2,800) at Jojo Restaurant until Nov 10—think black garlic pigeon; dry-aged beef tartar; grilled apple tea; plus music from Swedish musicians. Swedish-inflected afternoon tea (B1,800 for two) will also be available through Nov 30.

Join a guided whiskey pairing dinner at Brasserie 9—Asiatique's welcoming bistro complete with timber beams, hanging lamps and old-fashioned world map. Next week, the restaurant is teaming up with Bushmills Irish Single Malt to introduce its special 10-year-old, 16-year-old and 21-year-old bottles. The event also includes a welcome cocktail and aperitivo on top of the normal food and booze fun.

Hong Kong's renowned cocktail bar 28 HongKong Street (which has had seven years straight on the World's 50 Best Bars list) takes over Havana Social on Nov 7. Special guests Gavin Teravasan and Danny Dave will recreate their American-style craft cocktails made with artisanal spirits from 8-11pm.

Toro, the Spanish restaurant in Thonglor’s 72 Courtyard, plays host to the third edition of its quarterly “Paella on the Patio Chef Battle” this Nov 10. Watch guest chefs Charlie Jones of Quince Eatery & Bar and Jacobo Astray of Broken Eggs battle it out in the one-night-only paella showdown, and put your money where your mouth is for B1,500 (including three glasses of wine from Wine Garage). Once you’re finished tasting, there will be a vote for the winner, starting from 7pm 'till late.

After whetting our palates with their first Soho District Party back in March, the hospitality giants return with another big event at Fraser Suites Sukhumvit this Nov 10. The lineup includes live music from Grammy-nominated fusion artist Kenny Dope, prizes and, of course, food and drinks from the parent company’s Havana Social, Above Eleven, Charcoal, Cantina and Brasserie Cordonnier. Entry is B300, which includes free-flow between 3-4pm and a free drink after 4pm.

Siam Paragon is teaming up with Gastronauts Asia for a series of kitchen takeover events featuring highly regarded chefs from abroad. For the first event, the Christian and Manuel Costardi, owners of the Michelin-starred Hotel Cinzia in Vercelli, Italy, and founders of the Ambassadors of Taste organization, will take over Amici for lunch and dinner on Nov 16-17 (B3,000 or B3,500, add B1,200 for wine pairing).
