Surface Kitchen and Homeburg are collaborating for a flea market
Sift through a chef’s sneaker collection while munching on viral burgers.
Surface Kitchen, headed by chef Chalee Kader, will be hosting a flea market this Nov 17-18.
Running from 4pm-midnight, there will be food and drinks on offer, including Surface's hit In N’ Out-inspired burgers and a one-of-a-kind collaboration with the viral burger joint, Homeburg.
Run by Taiki Tsubota, Homeburg's demand has been high since he broke the Internet with news of a 1,000-strong waitlist and only an average of four burger servings per day—meaning a months-long wait.
The young entrepreneur appears to have nailed the formula with his "pay what you feel" burgers, served out of a makeshift kitchen in an on nut co-working space. Featuring super-light Japanese milk buns prepared with scientific precision, and filled with cheese, bacon and jalapenos measured exactly to the gram, the end product is the result of years of research and perfecting.
After recently having announced the temporary closure of his venture to improve space and quantity, this could be your best chance to try the coveted patties, 60 of which will be served per day on a first come first serve basis.
On top of that, you’ll be able to feast your way through a number of used clothes stalls straight out of JJ’s, as well as a vintage sneaker collection clear out from none other than chef Chalee himself.
There will also be an old school record sale care of the resident DJs and you might even be able to get your hands on some swag from a couple of local celebs who will be emptying their closets.
Reservations are highly recommended via 0954964562 or Line: EATER.
