The restaurants we ranked out of ★★★★★ this month.

This month we've been very star-happy: join us as we visit to a nose-to-tail restaurant doing things right, drop by Yen Akat's welcoming Mediterranean brunch spot, return to an Indian fine-dining instituion that's getting better with age, and scope out an under-the-radar Persian restaurant worth investigating. Those are just some of the food adventures BK's had this month, and here's what we thought of them. Like always, each of these reviews was conducted anonymously and to our exacting food review standards (you can read about those here). If you have any questions or you want to disagree with us, email it to [email protected]. Your response might even end up in print. Now tuck in!

100 Mahaseth  ★★★★

“'You cook up a mean pig intestine' might sound like an odd complement to pay a chef, but in the case of 100 Mahaseth’s Chalee Kader it’s well deserved. Cagette Canteen and Deli  ★★★★

Indus  ★★★★

"This sleek house-and-garden has delighted fans of northern Indian food since 2006 with its no-nonsense versions of some of the subcontinent’s most popular dishes: chicken tandoori, dal, butter chicken... and it’s little wonder that a table at Indus is still in high demand."

Shater  ★★★

"In an area that’s saturated by hit-or-miss Middle Eastern cuisine, this unassuming [Persian diner] is a solid bet. Plus, it opens till 4am—good to know for next time you suffer those late-night hunger pangs."
