It's time to boogie.

Even though it seems like Singapore's nightlife is picking up with a slew of new clubs opening, outdoor parties are becoming more common. Just last month we were privvy to the Caribbean block party at Jiak Chuan Street and the Rocksteady Soul BBQ at Haji Lane. It's a new month, so mark these outdoor parties on your calendar if you haven't been to one yet.

Open Deck (Nov 12-13)

Deck will be throwing a party at their courtyard to celebrate the end of this year's Singapore International Photography Festival and it will be replete with art, photography and nosh. There will be a slew of stalls selling affordable and homemade prints, kitsch accessories, T-shirt and anything that fall under art.

Amoy Street Bloc Party (Nov 20)

The Spa Esprit Group are throwing an Amoy Street block party. The lifestyle group owns Ding Dong and Bochinche, which both recently relocated to the street—a kind of hello-to-the-hood kind of party, then. Now, even on a regular night, Amoy Street can feel a bit like a block party, so we can't wait to see what they do. Though the full line-up is still under works but what we know is that there is going to be a delicious collaboration with restaurants in the area. Expect hole-in-the-wall Gemmills and Maggie Joan’s to be part of the line-up, too, as well at ever-packed Employees Only and Burger Joint.  There will also be local and international music acts, including DJ KFC and UK-based DJ Roscius and though the party ends at 10pm, revellers can head to Ding Dong for the after-party that goes on till late.

One Solid Day Out (Nov 19)

Held at the old Kallang Airport, a massive lineup with great performers and artists from the local urban arts communities and entertainment are coming together for One Solid Day Out. From 1pm all the way till the wee hours of the morning, local collectives like Syndicate, Solid Gold Sound System Dark Than Wax, Pushin' On, Lion Steppaz Sound will take turns to drop some crazy beats at the iconic spacealong side DJs, singers and rappers such as Aldrin, Mr. Has, Oliver Osborne, Sam Rui and others. Of course, a festival wouldn't be complete without fringe activities: from live graffiti paint-off and a dance competition, you're bound to find something to do.

Tan Boon Liat Block Party (Nov 26-27)

Singapore’s unofficial furniture hub Tan Boon Liat is throwing a party that involves 20 participating showrooms and features design workshops, food and wine tastings, seasonal gift ideas, silent auctions, special promos, collection launches, and giveaways over a span of two days. It will alsoshowcase food and wine tastings from The Providore.
