Big international food names set to open in Bangkok before the end of the year
Jamie's not alone.
Founded in 1926, Belgium’s Godiva is one of the world’s most iconic chocolate brands. Now it’s opening a store, or two, in Bangkok. An official Facebook post by Godiva Thailand says an outlet will open in CentralWorld, while a billboard spotted at Siam Paragon also claims a December opening. Godiva’s stores, which can already be found in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, sell not only boxed chocolates but also incredibly rich soft-serve ice creams. www.fb.com/GodivaThailand
Hot on the heels of Hokkaido’s Bake, there’s a new Japanese cheese tart condender coming to town. Introducing Osaka’s Pablo. Since launching around two years ago, this creamy pudding-like tart in the trademark crispy shell has been lauded as one of its hometown’s must-try treats, causing some pretty lengthy queues. We can also expect a few specially flavored cheese tarts, like matcha, when the store opens at Siam Paragon on Oct 27. www.fb.com/PABLOCheesetartThailand
