SPECIAL SCREENINGS: House Rama RCA 12th Anniversary

In celebration of its 12th anniversary, the boutique independent cinema hosts two weekends worth of special screenings. Tickets are B100 each and the lineup includes an advance screening of the new Shin Godzilla (not due in cinemas here until Sep 8), along with contemporary cult classics such as Spike Jonze's Her, Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive and Michael Haneke's Amour. Presented by university lecturer and author Viriya Sawangchot, Shohei Imamura’s 1988 film Black Rain follows the story of a young Japanese woman (Yoshiko Tanaka) who survives the bomb’s destruction, but struggles the rest of her life with the stigma of radiation sickness. There will be a discussion on the film after the screening.
