Art project to transform critiques of Thai design into poster form
Have your say on the past, present and future of local design immortalized as a poster.
Chat Room is the new project of Khon Kaen-born contemporary designer and owner of CEO Books, Grisana Eimeamkamol, which invites the public to submit their thoughts, stories, criticism and suggestions about Thailand's design scene.
The text submissions will then be published as a0-size posters and displayed at Bangkok CityCity Gallery between Aug 17-Sep 11 in an anonymous showcase that aims to ignite discussion about the past, present and future of design in Thailand.
Bangkok CityCity Gallery is one of the city's most innovative art spaces, built as a minimal all-purpose white cube that has recently seen exhibitions like director Nawapol Thamrongrattanari's "I Write You A Lot" and Korakrit Arunanondchai's 'Painting with History in a Room Filled with People with Funny Names 3."
Submissions for Chat Room are now open here, and will be accepted through Sep 10. All entries that meet the terms of the design context will be published anonymously in the gallery with visitors also able to take their submission home if they wish.
